The book addresses the theme of the communist experience in Romania for children between eight and twelve and illustrates the period of Ceausescu’s regime in Romania known as »The Golden Age«. It is a pop-up history book made as an interactive book with ludic elements featuring the artist Stefan Constantinescu’s biography intertwined with highlights from the grand narrative of the country’s past. The story covers 20 years of Romanian contemporary history, begins in 1968, the year Stefan Constantinescu was born, and ends with the regime’s breakdown in 1989. The texts are in English, Romanian and Swedish.
