Jens Ahlbom, born 1954 in Sweden, is a cartoonist and illustrator of picture books. Among other things, he has illustrated the computer game series Mulle Meck.

Lena Anderson, born 1939 in Sweden, is an illustrator and author of children’s books. Among her most known works are the books about Maja, for example Majas alfabet (»Majas alphabet«).

Andra Badea, born 1985 in Bucharest, is an illustrator and graphic designer. She has a background as an art director and spends her time creating cuteOshenii—the strange and sympathetic characters who are not afraid of the impossible and are always up for play. They appear on posters, wrapping paper, postcards, notebooks, and other printed material, always trying to tell a story and spread smiles and joy. Sometimes, the cuteOshenii are painted on everyday objects in order to be closer to people and to fulfill their mission more easily. With »Experimentul Martinel/The Teddy B. Experiment« Andra and cuteOshenii tell their first story in a book.

Ingela Bergmann, born 1959 in Sweden, is an author, illustrator, and artist. She made her debut as an author at pionier press in 2021 with the book »Flytten till Landet Annorlunda/Flyttingen til Annerledes-Landet/Flytten til Annleislandet«, a bilingual children’s book in Swedish and Bokmål/Nynorska.

Gunilla Bergström, born 1942 in Sweden, is an illustrator and author of children’s books. Her most famous work as an author is the books about the boy Alfons Åberg.

Alexandru Ciubotariu, born 1979 in Romania, is an illustrator and artist, known for the street art figure Pisica pătrată (The square cat). He is also the initiator of Muzeul Benzii Desenate (The cartoons museum) in Bucharest.

Mihai Coliban, born 1970 in Romania, is an illustrator with a background as an architect, who currently works in advertising. He has lived in Russia and London, and received numerous awards from all major European festivals: Cannes Lions, Epica, Eurobest, Golden Drum, AdPrint, and Red Apple, to mention a few. His goal in life is to learn as much as possible.

Jenny Ekström, born in 1986 in South Korea and raised in Sweden, is an author and illustrator. She made her debut as an author and illustrator at pionier press in 2021 with »Professor Eremitus nye vän/Le nouvel ami du professeur Eremitus«, a bilingual children’s book in Swedish and French.

Amanda Eriksson, born 1970 in Sweden, is an illustrator and author.

Ann Forslind, born 1953 in Sweden, is an illustrator, author, and translator. She was a member of the Swedish Academy for Children’s Books in 2006–2013.

Mimi Fürst, born 1989 in Sweden, is an illustrator. She made her debut as an illustrator of books at pionier press in 2014 with the bilingual book series »Döda djur/Dead Animals« in Swedish and English.

Adriana Gheorghe, born 1989 in Romania, is an illustrator and graphic designer.

Laura Ghinea, born 1977 in Romania, is an artist and lecturer at Universitatea de Artă și Design Cluj-Napoca. She is also the initiator of the artist’s book »La séduction«, published by pionier press in 2011.

Sara Gimbergsson, born 1958 in Sweden, is an illustrator and author of children’s books. She was previously a member of the Swedish Academy for Children’s Books.

Tania Goryushina, born 1978 in Kiev, Ukraine, in what was formerly part of the Soviet Union, is an illustrator, artist, and teacher. She develops various children’s projects together with publishers alongside her own trademark, Tyanachu. Her first children’s book »Kazkovi svitlyny« was awarded a grant from the Ukrainian president Viktor Yushchenko in 2008. One year later, Tania was accepted to the Academy of Fine Arts in Umeå and continued her career in Sweden. Many art projects have been realized since then, such as the design of some school walls in Huskvarna and the founding of her own micropublishing house.

Gunna Grähs, born 1954 in Sweden, is an illustrator trained at Konstfack University. She mainly illustrates children’s books.

Per Gustavsson, born 1962 in Sweden, is an illustrator and author of children’s books. He occupies the first chair at the Swedish Academy for Children’s Books since 2012.

Rebwār Sa‘īd, born 1962 in Suleymania in southern Kurdistan, is an artist. He is currently the Dean at the College of Fine Arts in Suleymania.

Radu Solovăstru, born 1957 in Romania, is an illustrator. He is currently the headmaster at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
