Archive of Pain/Arhiva Durerii

The book focuses on the traumatic experiences of twelve former political prisoners during the communist regime in Romania. Authored by Romanian historians Lucian Boia and Adrian Cioroianu, as well as the Swedish theorist Tom Sandqvist, the »Archive of pain« presents nuanced perspectives on Romanian Communism. It is among the first books dealing with this topic after 1989. The book is part of an art project by the artists Stefan Constantinescu, Cristi Puiu and Arina Stoenescu.
