pionier press invited children and parents to a joyful event at the International Library in Kungsholmen, Stockholm (Internationella biblioteket) to mark Europe Day. Publisher and translator Arina Stoenescu, together with language consultant and translator Sofia Malmgård, opened the event with a bilingual reading in English and Swedish from »Stadsräven/City Fox«. A group of young children listened attentively, while a mother joined in with a reading in Korean from »La est de est/Dongjjokeseo Dongjjokeuro«.
Some of the children were bilingual, others spoke only one language – but everyone could enjoy the stories. And, of course, having fika on the table added to the familiar atmosphere.
