pionier press kicks off Stockholm Book Fair 2022 with a book release at Stockholm International Library on Tuesday, May 17. Why May 17? Because it’s syttende mai, the National Day of Norway! Author Ingela Bergmann and translator Astrid Haugland read aloud from »Flytten till Landet Annorlunda/Flyttingen til Annerledeslandet« (The Move to Otherland), a bilingual children’s book in Swedish and Norwegian Bokmål that discusses how cultures that appear similar can still be very different from one another. The reading is appreciated by children and adults alike – something else that is appreciated are the Norwegian specialties offered afterwards, especially lefser (thin, white bread with sweet brown cheese).
